Abstract
^13^C spectral assignments for 3‐methyl‐1‐indanone, 3‐ethyl‐1‐indanone, 3‐n‐propyl‐1‐indanone, 3‐phenyl‐1‐indanone, 3‐phenyl‐1‐tetralone, 3‐ and/or 4‐substituted benzo‐α‐pyrones and dihydrobenzo‐α‐pyrones, together with those for 3‐phenylbutyric acid, 3‐phenylvaleric acid, 3‐phenylcaproic acid, 3,3‐diphenylpropanoic acid, 3,4‐diphenylbutyric acid, their 2‐carboxy derivatives and the ethyl esters of the 2‐carbethoxy derivatives are reported.
