✦ Synopsis


The 13C NMR spectra of nine isomeric (€)styryluracils and (€)-styrylthiouracils and those of five (€)-3-oxothiazolo[3,2-a]-6styrylpyrimidin-5-ones have been fully assigned. The A; and A,K empirical parameters of p-and m-hydroxystyryl, p-N,Ndiethylaminostyryl, 5-and 6-vinyl-2.4diketopyrimidyl, 5-and 6-vinyl-2-thio-4ketopyrimidyl and 3-oxothiazolo[3,2-a]-6vinyl-5-ketopyrimidyl groups were calculated for the prediction of the chemical. shifts of substituted (€)-styryluracils and (€) -3 -oxothiazolo[3,2-a]styrylpyrimidin-5ones.
