C and 19Hg NMR data are reported for seven bisaryl mercury compounds (aryl = phenyl, o-tolyl, m-tolyl, p-tolyl, 2,5-xylyl, 2,6-xylyl and mesityl) and two unsymmetrically substituted compounds, phenyl(o-toly1)and phenyl(m-toly1)-mercury, in deuteriochloroform. Also presented are carbon chemical shift substituent parameters due to mercury substitution on the aromatic ring.
