โฆ Synopsis
Carbene Complexes in Organic Chemistry
Carbene complexes have been important to the ยฎeld of organic chemistry since the ยฎrst discovery that copper salts catalyze the elimination of nitrogen from diazo compounds. Since the ยฎrst discovery of stable carbene complexes by Fischer in 1964, deยฎning and controlling the reaction pathways for these complexes has been a major activity of numerous research groups. In this Symposium-in-Print, studies of the reactivity of carbene complexes by a worldwide array of some of the leading authors in the ยฎeld will be presented.
