✦ Synopsis
The effect of peat on several electrochemical and energetic properties of new solid composite electrodes, constituted of chloranil, peat and acetylene black has been evaluated. Optimal electrodes have been found to include 60% of chloranil, 19% of acetylene black 19% of peak and 2% of teflon. The influence of the proportion of chloranil and of the acidity of the electrolytic medium (sulfuric acid) on the capacity of the redox system has been also studied.
