✦ Synopsis
Abstract
The pathological metabolites (phenylpyruvate, 2‐hydroxyphenylacetate, phenyllactate, and phenylacetate) from urine of phenylketonuric individuals were separated by capillary zone electrophoresis within 12 minutes. Significant differences in the content of these metabolites in urine can be found if a healthy man, a phenylketonuric newborn, and a phenylketonuric individual on a low‐phenylalanine diet are compared.
