Rheological studies of liquid crystalline systems based on sodium decylsulphate are reported. It was verified that for low shear rates, disk-like (ND) micellar nematic mesophases show typical pseudo-plastic rheopectic behaviour, associated with a favourable orientation of anisometric micelles in the
