✦ Synopsis
32 patients (p) had multiplane transesophageal echo planimetry (PL) and surface continuity equation (CE) for estimation of aortic valve area Objective: Analyze feasibility @.l of (PL) and correlation with CE, to determine roll of advanced age (AA), and associated conditions (AC) (significant aortic insufficiency or left ventricular dysfunction, and atria1 fibrillation). We defined 4 groups: l-Total (TG). 2-Aortic Stenosis (AS): (flow velocity>2m/s and calcification of the valve. 3-AC. 4-AA (p older than 65 years, 20 older than the rest: 75+ 6.4 vs 55+ 11.9 years p< 0.0001).
