✦ Synopsis

It was coming up for air. Joanne has read these words many times in one of her favorite horror stories by Martin Wisemann. But now they seem to be more than just words on a page. Down in the cemetery, across from Joanne’s bedroom window, something has risen from the ground. And a few days later a creature comes roaring out of the dark, killing Joanne’s ex-boyfriend, Billy. Soon the monsters start coming out from everywhereβ€”the basement, the grocery store, the street. All the creatures are strangely similar to those in Martin Wisemann’s novels. But why are they following Joanne? Only the author himself can help her understand the connection between her real-life nightmares and those she reads about in his books...before it’s too late.
