Research papers covering all aspects of finance will be presented and discussed. In addition special panel discussion sessions and speakers will be included on the program.
All academicians, business professionals, and government specialists with an interest in finance are cordially invited to attend these meetings and submit proposals for program participation. Those interested in participating as a paper presenter, session chairperson, paper discussant, panel member, or special session organizer, should send four copies of a letter outlining their specific interest-clearly specifying names, addresses, telephone numbers, and affiliations. Those wishing to present a paper should include four copies of either the completed paper or a maximum 2-page, single-spaced abstract describing the purpose, relevant literature, methodology, and timetable for completion. (Note." the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII) has funded an annual award of $1,000 for reserch in the field of investments presented at the Midwest Finance Association Annual Meetings. To be eligible for this award you must submit a completed research paper on an investments topic postmarked no later than February 1, 1989). Those wishing to put together a special session should include four copies of a maximum 2-page, single-spaced description of their session objective, participants, and time requirements.
The deadline for submitting proposals is September 2, 1988.
