Many industries utilize wastewater treatment facilities in their manufacturing processes. Marubeni Corporation, FCE's Asian partner, has already announced a 250 kWe DFC power plant for an industrial wastewater treatment facility at the Kirin Brewery near Tokyo, Japan, for delivery later this year. FCE will also be delivering a 1 MWe DFC power plant later this year to run on municipal wastewater digester gas in King County, Washington in a partnership with the county and the US Environmental Protection Agency.
