โฆ Synopsis
The 'real' Thomas' Calculus. Contains Part 1 and Part 2 (18 chapters) 3rd edition, second printing (1961). Has solutions to almost all problems. Almost identical to the 1953 second edition the only difference is the 'supplementary problems' in the back are now 'miscellaneous problems' after each chapter but are exactly the same problems. Some additional problems were also added in the third edition and extra figures. The type quality is also much better in the 3rd version.
Reviews trigonometry, covers single and multi-variable calculus (vectors) with an introduction to differential equations. Don E. Knuth modeled his 'Art of Computer Programming' books after this book with very similar style in presentation because he claimed in interviews to have enjoyed this book so much.
