✦ Synopsis

We have measured the kinetic parameters of coke combustion from experiments following a temperature VS. time sequence. As experimental basis, the regeneration of a silica-alumina catalyst deactivated in the isomer&don of cis-butene has been taken. The results of the simplified treatment proposed by Sohn and Kim have been compared with the results of the rigorous numerical solution. Recommendations are given on the experimental conditions for which the simplified method is applicable. The conditions for which the numerical solution is needed are established.
