β¦ Synopsis
A new method involving systematic trial and error for the calculation of the equilibrium compositions for multi-constituent systems is proposed. The necessary equations can be set up easily for very rapid calculation on a digital computer. The method is illustrated by calculating the products of combustion of a hydrocarbon.
