✦ Synopsis

We caIcuIated the static and the dynamic dipole polar~b~ities and the static quadrupole pofarizability of the helium atom. The results are p = 0.2070 X 1O-24 cm3 for the static dipole poIarizabiIity and -ye = 0.1038 X 104* cm5 for the static quadrupole polarizabitity.
