In studies of vibrational relaxation of nitrous oxide and of carbon dioxide, diffusion coefficients of the vibrationally excited species (D,) have been measured as functions of temperature. These results are used here to estimate diffusion coefficients for rotational (D,,,) and vibrational energy (D
