The compounds NiSn, CoSn, Fe!&, Cu,Sn, Cu,Sn, and SbSn develop passivity stable over a wide range of PH. Their passivation potentials are markedly lower than those of their elements; since the films form very quickly, and then pass to higher states of oxidation, there is some difficulty establishing
