Abstract
A novel method for circularβbirefringence calculation is proposed. The method is based on analysis of the curvature of a 3D curve (Stokes curve). The 3D curve segments are defined by a series of points that represent states of polarization. The obtained results indicate that the analysis of the curvature permits us to estimate the values of circular birefringence. Β© 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. With the GHT, errors in the gradient of object boundary curves result in deterioration of performance and decreased accuracy of object extraction. In this paper, the influen
