✦ Synopsis
The interaction of calcium ions with the peptide hormone melanostatin (Pro-Leu-Gly-NH 2 ) was investigated by 1 H and 13 C NMR spectroscopy in [D 6 ]DMSO containing H 2 O (1%). Chemical shifts, spin-lattice relaxation rates, 1 H NOESY maps and the temperature coefficients of the amide 1 H NMR chemical shifts were measured at increasing concentrations of calcium.
