CAD in industry CAE system seeks to link schematics and simulation

Daisy Systems has announced a CAE system called Entry! that is aimed at overcoming what Daisy sees as the biggest bottleneck in the electronic design environment, namely the link between schematics and simulation.

The system features onscreen icons, pop-up menus and is controlled using a mouse. Data is entered using dialogue boxes, scroll bars and forms.

The system runs under the Daisy-DNIX operating system and is compatible with other Daisy systems and software. Thus Entry! offers access to

Evolution strategies (ES) has proven to be a robust search technique for solving deterministic problems. An ES conducts its search by processing a population of solutions for an optimization problem based on principles from evolution. This paper describes the use of ES integrated with a simulation m
