Cations and anions of benzamidinium dihydrogenphosphate, C 7 H 9 N 2 + ÁH 2 PO 4 , are connected by NH 2 Á Á ÁO P and NH 2 Á Á ÁO(H)-P hydrogen bonds between benzamidinium NH 2 groups and dihydrogenphosphate O atoms into an infinite three-dimensional network. The anions are connected through P-OHÁ Á
ÁH 2 PO 4 À , the nicotinium cations are sandwiched between layers of dihydrogenphosphate anions. The structure is held together by extensive hydrogen bonding between the O and N atoms of nicotinium cations and the O atoms of the phosphate anions, and between the O atoms of the phosphate anions them
