โœฆ Synopsis

By Right of Will follows the life of William Fylbrigge. Born into wealth, yet reviled by a jealous older brother, William's young life was anything but gentle. From his earliest days, he became a target of abuse at the hands of his brother Thomas, Earl of Aberdoir, who until William's birth had been the sole heir to their father's vast fortune. Much to Thomas' dismay, William becomes the favored foster son to the powerful Lord Edward of Stonehaven, who has taken the boy in and put him above all others. Sean Wilbrun, the son of a common groomsman, transcends the barriers of his class and station when he is elevated to the esteemed ranks of high guard for Lord Edward. His first assignment however, is not to wield a sword to protect his duke as he had hoped, but instead to attend to the duke's newly arrived foster son, William. The two form an unlikely duo and a lasting bond that brings them together through accusations of murder, and kidnapping. One is destined to lead his people in an unpopular cause; the other destined to protect his friend against a mutual enemy. One will find his love; one will lose it. Both will come to know that nobility and bravery are not exclusively bestowed upon the rich and the claim to the future is only By Right of Will. By Right of Will is the first book in a series chronicling the life of William Fylbrigge. The story continues in My Brother's Keeper, followed by In the Wake of Ashes and concludes in the forth coming Passages.
