✦ Synopsis
The rapidly changing business environment has created the need for small and large businesses to continuously explore ways to improve operations. One of the more recent concepts is reengineering. The focus of reengineering is the radical redesign of the core business processes of an organization. Through this redesign, the organization may reap dramatic improvements in quality of products and/or services, customer service, and the bottom line. In this article a case is presented of a pharmacy reimbursement operation that was reengineered. The process of the reengineering will be presented along with the early results of the effort.
