Strong growth in pump demand is predicted by two independent market studies recently released. Healthy growth in mature markets is predicted to be bolstered hy recovery in developing and transition economies. Freedonia's report, flatteringly entitled "World Pumps", is predicting an average annual growth of 6.8% for global pump demand over the next five years. It anticipates that Latin America, the Middle East and Africa will offer the best prospects for growth with strong contributions from Eastern Europe and the recovering Asian sector as well.
