✦ Synopsis

This contribution presents a solution for a critical buckling force in a thin two-ring annulus. Because of the changes in the properties of each particular ring, the problem belongs to a group of plane elements w:lth so-called cylindrical orthotropy. The purpose of this study is to determine the critical radial compressive load depending on the changes in bending rigidity of each particular ring, changes of boundarv conditions and the manner of edge loading in this kind of annulus.
