Buckeye Partners is primarily engaged in the transportation, terminalling and storage of refined petroleum products for key integrated oil companies, large refined products marketing companies and key end‐users of petroleum products on a fee basis through facilities owned and operated by Co. Co. also operates pipelines owned by third parties under contracts with integrated oil and chemical companies and performs pipeline construction activities. As of Dec 31 2006, Co.'s facilities included approximately 5,400 miles of 6‐inch to 24‐inch diameter pipeline, 100 delivery points and 45 active bulk storage and terminal facilities with aggregate capacity of approximately 17.6 million barrels.
