Co. markets and sells to its customers insurance products and services, primarily in the property, casualty and employee benefits areas. Co. provides its customers with insurance contracts, as well as other targeted, customized risk management products and services. Co. is compensated for its services primarily by commissions paid by insurance companies and by fees paid by customers for certain services. These fees are mainly generated by Co.'s Services Division. As of Dec 31 2006, Co.'s activities were conducted in 179 locations in 35 states.
