It is the summer of 1811, and Elizabeth is in town to aid Mrs Gardiner through her confinement when an embarrassing mishap introduces her to Miss Darcy and her officious brother. Mr Darcy deems his sister at the most trying age after the vicar of Kympton, Mr Wickham, had to save her from making a grave mistake in Ramsgate.
