## Abstract ^13^C n.m.r. spectra of some substituted isoxazoles have been examined to ascertain the reactive site in the metallation of 4‐substituted 3,5‐dimethylisoxazoles. The results obtained indicate that metallation occurred exclusively at the C‐5 methyl.

The barriers to rotation about the C-N bond in eighteen substituted N,N-dimethylbenzamides have been determined by complete line shape analysis of the N M R spectra of the N,Ndimethyl protons. The barriers have been correlated with the substituent constants cr and u b . It has been shown that polar
The commercial poly(vinyl acetate) bulk was studied by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) at solution and solid state to understand much better the behavior of this polymer to obtain information on structure, sample molecular mobility, and heterogeneity. To analyze the behavior of this polymer, we hav
## Abstract The ^17^O NMR chemical shifts of five enriched amino acids have been measured under strictly controlled conditions of concentration, ionic strength, pH and temperature. The α, β and α, γ carboxyl resonances of aspartic and glutamic acid, respectively, have been resolved. Line widths wer
