1870 Wyoming Territory.

On the advice of her second dying husband, Genevieve Carnegie has returned to Wyoming to sort out her heart. She believes she’ll find complete satisfaction by wresting her ranch away from the man who ran her off—the man she once loved. She plans to start a bride school, to prepare future wives of the Western Territories to have a hand in shaping the country. What she doesn't plan is to lose her heart, again, to Devlin Zollinger, her former brother-in-law. Besides, her society circles aren't quite ready to allow men to marry their brother’s widows.

Devlin can’t believe Gen is back, but it doesn't take long to realize she isn't interested in a reunion. She wouldn't be waging war against him if she knew what he’d done on her behalf, but he’s not about to tell her. However, if he can’t find a way back onto the ranch to collect his things, she’ll discover all his secrets.

Meanwhile, someone is trying to sabotage the bride ranch at every turn. And if Devlin can’t catch the side-winder, the beautiful Genevieve Carnegie won’t live long enough to marry a third husband…hopefully, him.
