✦ Synopsis
Latitude determinations with the photographic zenith tube PZT 2 of the geodetic-astronomical observatory Potsdam were analysed for the period 1981-90 in order to investigate the long term behaviour. The original data were corrected for polar motion. The series of corrected latitude values show besides a significant linear trend seasonal variations with variable parameters. Investigations for the Czeschoslovakian station Ondrejov lead to similar results. The cause for the obtained latitude variations could he systematic errors of the proper motions of the observed stars.
