Differential reaction cross sections have been masured as a function of inithl trantitional enegy for the 1 afom abstraction reactions of Cl atoms with CII,l. CZHsI, C,H,I molecules. At lower initial transhtiorul energy. long-lived collision dynamics are observed which persist at hgher initial transhtional enero,y for smaller impact parameter collisions but a direct stripping component with a higher product translational energy appears for collisions at the &est impact parameters.
