Narrow band noise associated with nonlinear electric conduction (E>E T) and hysteresis phenomena below a threshold field (E<E T) in charge density waves indicate the presence of topological defects in charge density waves.
We shall review here the role of topological defects in charge density wave transport in quasl-one dimensional systems.
