upgrading and development of the Statoil gas treatment facility at Karsto, in Norway.

Karsto is a hub for gas production to 30 large and small fields in the North Sea and the Norwegian Sea. The contract has a value of approximately US$175 million. In addition to detail engineering, the contract calls for procurement and construction assistance. The project is expected to be completed by 2012, with upgrading work beginning in the autumn of 2008.

3 oil & gas contracts for Aker Kvaerner

A ker Kvaerner has signed three new contracts for design and supply of oil and gas treatment packages. The total value of the three contracts is approximately NKr160 million.

One award is with Hyundai Heavy Industries for the design and supply of the Inconel gas/glycol dehydration unit to Adma Opco's Umm Shaif offshore field in the United Arab Emirates.

The second contract is with Maurel & Prom where Aker Kvaerner will deliver crude desalting facilities to Maurel & Prom's new crude production site in Gabon in mid 2008.

The third contract has been awarded by BG Group. Aker Kvaerner will deliver two new glycol regeneration systems for their Miskar platform in Tunisia.

The units involved will be fabricated in Korea, Morocco and France.
