Peridotite xenoliths containing primary phlogopite with or without potassic richterites as major constituent (up to 12 vol. %) are rarely found in kimberlite from the Bultfontein Floors. Chemically, these rocks are similar in compositions with those of the granular type garnet peridotite xenoliths f

Tests confirm gasket's sealing ability
TriGuard gaskets from US-based W.L. Gore & Associates Inc are designed for pipe sealing applications that involve aggressive fluids, flanges that are fragile or contain irregularities, and where bolt torque and gasket compression stress must be limited.
The company claims that its patented gasket construction technique, which uses 100% expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE), successfully combines the sealing characteristics of elastomers with the temperature resistance and chemical resistance of PTFE. This means that reliable sealing can be achieved at low gasket compressions.
Tests that were completed during April 2002 demonstrated successful gas-tight sealing at 250 psi, which is one-tenth the stress required by other PTFE gaskets, says the company. ASTM F-37 testing at lower bolt loads also shows that they provide a seal that is many times tighter than that which can be achieved by other forms of ePTFE and PTFE gaskets. In addition, the gasket's high creep resistance reduces the need for retorquing.
GORE-TEX TriGuard gaskets are ideal for use in contamination and monomer services, and for use with highly aggressive fluids, including chlorine. They are available in 0.5-28 inch ANSI ring, and full face sizes.
