## Abstract Recently, a subpopulation of cells highly efficient in tumor initiation and growth has been isolated from brain tumors. Of interest, these brain tumor initiating cells exhibit many stem‐like properties, including self‐renewal, extended proliferation, and multipotency, and are both pheno
