## Abstract Buprenorphine is a μ‐opioid receptor partial agonist and κ‐opioid receptor antagonist currently on trials for the management of pregnant opioid‐dependent addicts. However, little is known about the effects of buprenorphine on brain development. Oligodendrocytes express opioid receptors
