This book is an introduction to computational fluid dynamics with emphasis on the modeling and calculation of boundary-layer flows. The subjects coverd include laminar, transitional and turbulent boundary layers for two- and three-dimensional incompressible flows. The viscous-inviscid coupling betw

β¦ Synopsis
This translation of the German edition, which appeared in 1966 under the title "StrΓΆmungs- und Temperaturgrenzschichten,β incorporates many small changes suggested by the author.
This book fills a gap in the literature. While the laminar boundary is theoretically quite well understood, there is still room for theoretical speculation in turbulent boundary layers. The author's own efforts and those of his former students have contributed considerably to a systematic treatment of both laminar and turbulent boundary layers.
