Long ago, a war raged between humans and their machine creations. It devastated the planet and the population was reduced from billions to hundreds of thousands. Now, mankind lives under domes to survive and their needs are met by mankind's creation of a new race named BOTS. A blend of flesh and machine, this new race serves man willingly. This is the story told from the perspective of a house BOT in the service of the mayor of one of these domed cities named BETH. One day her normal daily routine is interrupted by her encounter with a peculiar BOT she meets on an errand. Soon BETH begins noticing things she did not before and it becomes apparent that all is not what it seems.
