When Aunt Ida persuades one of her favourite mystery authors, Preston Price, to hold his book launch at the Heavenly Highland Inn she is thrilled. Not only will the launch be held there but Preston has agreed to attend a special meeting with Aunt Ida and her Murder Mystery Book Club on the weekend of the launch.
Vicky and Sarah, co-owners of the inn, are fully occupied organizing the launch weekend and the after-party. This keeps Vicky busy while her gorgeous boyfriend, Mitchell, is working extra shifts as a police officer. She is determined to make the weekend as special as possible for her unconventional Aunt Ida. Aunt Ida is on cloud nine with the impending book launch and her blossoming relationship with her biker boyfriend, Rex.
But then there is a murder at the inn during the weekend of the book launch and the similarities between the murder in Preston's latest book and the murder at the inn are uncanny. The prime suspect is one of the Murder Mystery Book Club members but the investigation points to other possibilities and as usual Vicky and Aunt Ida cannot wait to discover the truth themselves.
Will Vicky and Aunt Ida solve this baffling murder mystery? Will Vicky's prying create a rift between Mitchell and herself or does their relationship grow even stronger?
