The field of solar energy is expanding rapidly. The number of books and publications is also growing. We here at Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells and Elsevier Science B.V. are committed to informing the scientific community about recent books, publications and conferences. We wish to make the journal a living chronicle of news and information in this field. To this end, we now invite our readers to send in book reviews and conference announcements in addition to scientific papers and letters to the editor. The format and examples for this can be found in past issues, but the message should be clear.
