technological fields of more recent growth (plastics, radiation chemistry) but somewhat deficient in disciplines such as pharmaceutical chemistry and theoretical aspects of organic chemistry and biochemistry (e.g. no listings are included for spasmolytics, tranquillizers, conformation, supernatant, secondary structure, or cytochemistry). The print and layout are excellent; the use of paper in different colors for the supplementary indexes is a convenient aid to orientation. The dictionary should be of considerable use to the reader and translator of not too specialized or theoretical texts, and as a handy first reference for the specialized translator.
