these provide an introduction to the subject, which some readers might wish to explore more fully. Having a reference for each entry would add up to 2000 references, but surely fewer than that would be needed, and this would add to the utility of the dictionary for many readers.
Overall, I recommend the dictionary most highly for precise definitions of commonly used statistical terms, also for definitions of esoteric terms, and for browsing. It would be a welcome addition to any biostatistician's library.
