Any reader wishing to know anything about oleÐn metathesis and metathesis polymerization cannot do better than start with this excellent monograph. The Ðeld covered is very broad, ranging from the research frontiers of transition metal chemistry, synthesis of speciality polymers, insect pheromones and other natural products, manipulation of alkenes, theory and modelling, reactive processing and materials science. The literary style can best be described as compact and detailed ; neither author uses three words where one will suffice. Nobody active in the area can a †ord to be without this monograph and any library which serves a research community interested in catalysis, organic synthesis and polymer science and technology will need this book on its shelves. It is reasonably priced for a specialist monograph.
