The year is 1850. Elissa is a vampire that has been in existence for a millennium. She's unlike her clan and stays away from mortals. She only feeds on animals. One day, she comes across an orphanage and sees an eight-year-old blonde girl. Elissa decides to leave her 'leftovers' for the struggling orphanage after seeing the young girl. Things transpire that lead Elissa and Cassandra to begin traveling together. A unique bond is formed. But it's more than that as they come to learn during their journey together.
