Mr. Smith better be writing his little heart out for #2 in this Marty Spellman trilogy as this is his best yet. Smith's writing and timing are so good that you don't even know you are holding your breath until it is time to hold it again. This is so much more than a page turner - this is a stop everything because nothing is going to happen until I can finish this book. Smith's characters are easy to like and well developed enough that you feel as if they are your friends - that is a writing gift. Even the characters who aren't very likable are written well enough to be understandable in their actions. This is an exciting and fun thriller that doesn't stop until the very end with a lead character, Marty, who you will wonder about until the next book is published. It doesn't get much better than that.

With Running of the Bulls, you're so caught in the action - that you're honestly rooting for the characters that would historically be the bad guys in other tales. Christopher seems to set the bar higher and higher for himself, and I can't wait for his upcoming releases in 2012. A definite must read for mystery, suspense, and thriller lovers!
