## Abstract A series of chromophoric azofurazan‐containing macrocycles **__6a–c__** and **__7a–d__** were synthesized from bis(aminofurazanylic) ethers of 1,2‐diols **__4a–d__** by dibromoisocyanurate oxidation. The macrocycle closure is a result of NN bond formation. An ion‐binding ability of the
