β¦ Synopsis
We present an exploratory calculation of the standard model AS = 2 matrix element relevant for indirect CP violation in K + KK decays. The computation is performed with overlap fermions in the quenched approximation at ,0 = 6.0 on a 163 x 32 lattice. We make use of left-handed currents to eliminate spurious zero-mode contributions.
The resulting bare matrix element is renormalized non-perturbatively. Our preliminary result is BEDR(2 GeV) = 0.61(7), where the error does not yet include an estimate of systematic uncertainties.
π SIMILAR VOLUMES
We examine quenched chiral logarithms in lattice QCD with overlap Dirac quarks. From our data of ma, we determine the coefficient of quenched chiral logarithm b = 0.203( 14), 0.176(17), 0.193(17) and 0.200(13) for lattices of sizes 83 x 24, lo3 x 24, 123 x 24 and 163 x 32 respectively. Also, for the
