✦ Synopsis
A recent survey of the medical literature on head and neck cancer, conducted in an attempt to retrieve information on several subjects, revealed that many of the articles published during the review period (1969)(1970)(1971)(1972)(1973)(1974)(1975)(1976)(1977)(1978) suffered from a distinct lack of standardization in the presentation of their data, as well as from significant omissions of vital information. This was most apparent in the categories of patient description, etiologic factors, patient staging, treatment methods, treatment results, and treatment complications.
