✦ Synopsis

The title centrosymmetric alumoxane compound, [Al 4 -(CH 3 ) 6 (" 3 -O) 2 ("-{Ph 2 P(O)} 2 CH) 2 ]ÁC 4 H 8 O, is dimeric in the solid state as its THF disolvate, with a central Al 2 O 2 ring core connected to terminal Me 2 Al units through oxo and nonchelating phosphinate anions.
